Privacy Covenant

This is not a generic privacy policy. It is a covenant — a promise about exactly what we collect, why, and what we will never do with it.
1. What We Collect

We have disabled Google Signals and ad-personalization signals. GA4 is not installed on member/community, account, admin, Ask RID submission, Support, or Feedback pages. |
| Aggregate affiliate-link clicks | We count which public editorial page/button sent a click to a retailer so we can understand what readers find useful. This separate RID click log does not store your IP address, account ID, session ID, email, user agent, or full affiliate URL. |

2. What We Will Never Do
- We will never publicly link your email or real name to your pen name.
- We will never sell, rent, or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We will never track you across other websites or sell behavioral data.
- We will never read your private Sealed Secrets messages except in response to a valid legal order or an active safety report under review.
3. Strict Pseudonym Anonymity
Your pen name is the only identity other users will ever see. Internally, your account is linked to your email for login purposes only — this link is never exposed through any public page, API, or user-facing feature.
4. No Search Indexing
Raw Ink Desire instructs all search engines (Google, Bing, and others) not to index private forum posts, creator-room content, or member messages. Content within the sanctuary is rendered only after a valid session is verified — to outside scrapers and search bots, the platform shows no readable text.
5. Sealed Secrets — Text Only
Our private messaging system, Sealed Secrets, is strictly text-based. We do not support image or video attachments in private messages, both to protect your privacy and to shield the platform from the liability risks that come with hosting unmoderated private media.
6. Hard Purge Deletion
When you delete content or your account, we mean it. Deleted data is removed from our live systems within 24 hours, and from rolling backups within 7 days. After that window, it is permanently gone — we do not retain "shadow copies" indefinitely the way many platforms do.
7. Anonymous Reporting
If you report another user's content, your identity as the reporter is never disclosed — not to moderators reviewing the case publicly, and never to the person being reported.
8. Ask RID & Support
Ask RID is a public-facing question channel. You may submit a question without giving us your name or email. If you include an email, we use it to send a direct answer and follow-up related to that question. Your email is never displayed on an Ask RID page.
We only publish an Ask RID question when you explicitly check the anonymous-publication permission box. Published questions are presented without your nickname, email, account identity, or other contact information. You can request removal of a published Ask RID question by contacting askrid@rawinkdesire.com.
Support requests are routed to support@rawinkdesire.com and may also be retained in our private support queue while the issue is being handled. Support content is never published as editorial content.
9. Payment Information
Real-world payment processing (for purchasing Inkdrops) is handled by a third-party payment processor. Raw Ink Desire does not store your raw credit card number on our own servers.
10. Cookies, Sessions & Editorial Measurement
We use a minimal session cookie strictly to keep members logged in. On the public homepage and public Blog pages, we also use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate traffic and engagement. GA4 may use first-party measurement cookies and sends measurement data to Google for analytics processing. We have disabled Google Signals and advertising-personalization signals in our GA4 tag.
We deliberately do not install GA4 on member/community pages, account or admin areas, Ask RID submission pages, Support, or Feedback. We do not intentionally send RID account IDs, email addresses, Ask RID question text, support messages, private messages, or community content to Google Analytics.
Public blog affiliate clicks are also measured by RID with a separate privacy-light first-party event so we can compare which articles and button placements send readers to retailers; that RID event is not linked to a RID account or persistent visitor profile.
11. Your Rights
You may request a copy of your data, or request full deletion of your account and all associated content, at any time through your account settings once available.
12. Changes to This Covenant
If this Privacy Covenant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify active users before the changes take effect.
This is a sanctuary, not a service. We built it to be trusted.
